Technology Interchange Meetings (TIM) allow DoD, Industry, and Academia to collaborate on Research and Engineering technology challenges. This year's event will feature a Keynote Speaker and expert presentations by a cross-section of the defense community, industry, and academia. Attendees will hear presentations from industry and government, detailing the positive impact of FACE and SOSA adoption for buyers (end users), suppliers, integrators, and business representatives, including both Business and Technical lessons learned.
The theme for the event is the FACE and SOSA Approaches, a MOSA Implementation for Avionics Software and Hardware.
Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA), formerly known as Modular Open Systems Architecture or Open Systems Approach, has five (5) principles and is required by law (Title 10 U.S. Code 2446 a (b), Sec 805).

Additional information is available by viewing Understanding the Value Proposition of the FACE Approach and System Architectures, MOSA & the FACE Technical Standard.
This in-person event at the Von Braun Center will run throughout the day, with industry and government members presenting technical papers. Additionally, attendees will have an opportunity to visit over 50 booth demonstrations. Both the booth demonstrations and the technical papers will highlight the following:
• MOSA implementations for the avionics and military communities
• FACE products and tools that are certified conformant to, or aligned with, the FACE Technical Standard
• SOSA products, through implementation or conceptual examples, will align to the SOSA Snapshot and demonstrate the positive impact of SOSA adoption
• Multiple organizations working together to show integration of open standards (FACE, SOSA, HOST, Victory, OpenVPX, etc.) impact of implementation, and lessons learned
