James Thomas
Topic: Enterprise Architecture as a City Plan for a Central Bank
Synopsis
The Enterprise Architecture (EA) team at SARB is tasked with optimising business and technology integration, and, as such, we are constantly challenged to improve how we translate terms across the business and IT (information technology) boundaries while making ourselves more
comprehensible. To this end, we’ve used an analogy to explain some of the core concepts and deliverables the team is working on: City Planning.
This session will provide an overview of the key elements of enterprise architecture, will delve into some key components like a zoning model, and will assist practitioners and stakeholders to improve collaboration and communication for the greater good of any type of enterprise.
